‘Newness hath an evanescent beauty.’ These are the words of the German poet Heinrich Hein, which according to me, and I’m sure you’d agree, cannot be truer than in the present context. New Year isn’t just a day’s worth of celebration, but a three sixty-five days’ worth of hope. It is the beginning of a new beginning. Now let’s take a look at New Year’s celebrations around the world!
