The Headless Ghost – By Child Author Srujana.K

Tom, woke up in the middle of the night on hearing the hustle of the wind from the window. On seeing out of the window, he found a figure with a neck but no head; it had hands but no palms. Tom was terrified. He was bathed in sweat. He tucked himself tightly inside his blanket and fell asleep. Next morning, he got up still trembling and again looked out of the window.

He was relieved to find that the ghost was not there. After breakfast, he hurriedly went to his mother and told her about the previous night’s happenings. Immediately, she burst out laughing.
He was annoyed and asked her the reason behind her uncontrollable laugh. She took a moment, controlled her laugh and told him that it was his father’s kurta which she left out for drying. They both had a hearty laugh.
