Five children's movies one shouldn't miss watching !!

We would never have met anyone who would say ‘no’ to watching a movie! Movies are not just a great way to pass our time, but they also trigger our imagination, enlighten us with several unfamiliar ideas and more often than not, compel us to think. A good movie would suffice to make any day a memorable one. And such is the diversity of the genres! Comedy, tragedy, classics, fantasy fiction, Gothic and what not! But to be very honest, nothing is better than a childhood fiction consisting of conflicts, magic, love and a ‘happily ever after’. If we tend to look closely, there is always a moral underlying these stories which are so relevant to our lives. All we need to do is keep our minds open while watching a movie as much our eyes and ears!
As we have already marched 17 years into the 21st century, it is a big possibility that many of us have missed out on several trends, ideas and most sadly, the amazing childhood classic movies which have been adored by the whole globe in the last century. And that’s a bummer! But it’s never too late to be watching these evergreen fables. So here’s a list of five top movies one can binge watch and relish. Although they are referred to as childhood movies, these movies can be enjoyed by just about anybody!

But what is the most valuable lesson this movie will teach you is to accept yourself the way you are and take a stand for yourself and your friends. Several kindergarten life lessons also adorn this beautiful movie and it is sure to take you on a soul-stirring ride.

  • Beauty and the Beast (1991)

This is an animated movie and a Disney princess one so the beauty of the story and its content goes without saying! It is a movie revolving around a beautiful and fiercely independent girl who teaches you to love everything and everyone relentlessly. We also learn that life is adorned with bitter-sweet emotions. Yet the most important thing that we learn from this musical journey is that one shouldn’t judge anyone by their appearance and without knowing the story of their lives.

  • Pinocchio (1940)

Pretty much the oldest movie on the list, this one is a famous and very well received Walt Disney classic animated movie. It is based upon a basic life lesson that one should never lie. It is about a young boy whose nose grows longer and longer with each lie he speaks. It will make you laugh and wonder at the same time.

  • The Sound of Music (1965)

Made in the zenith of the Hollywood musical, this sweet, heart-warming tale of the singing von Trapp family and their escape from the Nazis in WWII-era Austria has endured the test of time. It is a movie without which one’s childhood is incomplete. It inspires us to believe in the magic of music and that music can get us through the best and the worst of times.

  • The Lion King (1994)

This is perhaps the movie which defines the childhood of every 90’s kid; a tale of love, betrayal, justice and the beauty of nature. It revolves around Simba, a Lion cub who grows up to be fierce and kind in all the right ways. This animated movie is undoubtedly one of the best ones. It is an emotional roller coaster as it will make you laugh and cry within the 88 minutes of its duration. This is a movie which no one should miss!
